The word Reiki means “universal life energy”. It is defined as being that power which acts and lives in all created matter.
Many cultures throughout history understood the nature of spirit, energy and matter, using this knowledge to heal their bodies and harmonize their souls. The ancient healing method of Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the middle of the 19th century.
Reiki is done by laying the hands gently on the various parts of the body. Soon there is a feeling of a flowing sensation, often combined with warmth.
Reiki can also be done through distance healing. The client does not need to be present to receive Reiki Energy. There are many Reiki Practitioners who use long distance Reiki Healing extensively. Just as prayer and intuition knows no boundaries, Reiki works in the same manner.
Reiki energy works on the material plane as well as the mental, emotional and spiritual.
What we know as disease is…the end product of deep and long acting forces.
There are many benefits to Reiki;
Reiki supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself;
Reiki vitalizes both body and soul, functioning on all levels; mental, spiritual, emotional and physical.
Reiki balances the body’s energies and loosens up blocked energy, promoting relaxation.
Reiki adjusts itself according to the needs of the recipient.
Zak getting Crystal healing after ReikiReiki works with animals and plants.
Reiki is an extremely pleasant, holistic method of healing.
Reiki sessions are generally 30 or 60 minutes.
Crystals and gemstones can also be used with Reiki to enhance and focus the energy. All my animals love Reiki and ask for it daily. My little kitten Zak, in the photo was sick with a fever for a couple days. I treated him with herbal remedies and he always wanted Reiki and Crystal treatments too. Reiki works well with other healing modalities. Zak made noticeable improvement afterwards.
