All my life I've loved animals. I'd find injured birds, rabbits, and other critters and bring them home and try to heal them. When our dog Mitzi got hit by a car, I ran to her and put my hands on her. I felt some warmth and a tingling feeling.
In most any season I'd be outside, hiking the woods, climbing the bluffs and exploring the caves. Sometimes I'd be on horseback. Those were the best times.
I brought home wildflowers, roots, strange pods & nuts, driftwood, and rocks. I started drawing them and learning their botanical names.
A friend gave me a book called Zone Therapy, Stories the Feet Have Told, by Eunice Ingham. This was the first time I heard about Zone Therapy and Reflexology.
Taking classes....the journey continues.
Certified in Usui Reiki I and II in 1990 in Minneapolis.
Flower Essence Classes, Minneapolis, MN 1992, making my own essences from flowers I collected or grew.
Certified in Ersdal Zone Therapy with the late Dr. Charles Ersdal, MD, MA, and Christine Horvath, CZT in 1996. Continuing in Advanced Zone Therapy; Anatomy, Physiology, Neurons, & Pathology of the Brain, and the Cardiovascular System Physiology & Pathology in 1997. I love working on feet and am always amazed at the results.
Basic Swedish massage at Sister Rosalind School of Massage Therapy in 1999 as a prerequisite for Equine Massage.
Medicine Woods Herbals Medicine Woods Herbals, a home-based hobby business making natural skin care products and soap began in 1999.

Helping animals with herbs, crystals, and Reiki...and of course lots of Love!
Helping animals with Animal Communicator Janet Roper at Talk2The Animals. Janet's amazing communication abilities really helped me with my mare Breeze who had Cushing's Disease.
In late September Breeze had a Reiki/Talk Session with Reiki Fur Babies and Janet. During this session is when Breeze coined the term 'Warrior Reiki'.
Breeze & MeBreeze crossed over on a beautiful Indian Summer day in late October. I'm grateful for having her in my life these past 12 years, and also for the communication with Janet and the Reiki healing from Reiki Fur Babies before she left. I've written a tribute to Breeze on this blog.
I love the connection between nature, the earth, consciousness, and wellness. I'm looking towards the future; the future of my children, of the animals, and our planet.
